In an era when international corporates dominated the consultancy world, CEO Johan Van Damme chose a different path. He founded JooS Consulting, specialising in finance & accounting. The company quickly grew into a strong national player. The unit was later transformed into United Finance.
Following a period of sustained growth, demand for HR consulting increased, leading to the establishment of our second business unit, PZ Consulting, or PZ for short. This division too quickly grew into a market leader in Belgium. In line with the group’s overarching brand strategy, the unit was later renamed United HR.
To better support the search for senior and C-level consultants, we established a specialised business unit for interim management. Known in its early days as Waterfront, and later as United Interim Management.
The headquarters in Niel underwent a complete transformation led by renowned architects. The end result? A stunning example of sophisticated, warm minimalism.
Some of our numerical experts were increasingly called in for supply chain projects. This resulted in the launch of an entirely new business unit, focused on the logistics world.
In 2023, United Consulting celebrated its 25th anniversary. An unforgettable moment that brought more than 750 passionate colleagues together in the legendary Bourla, where history and future merged seamlessly.
Many of our analysts became involved in support processes, such as invoicing, credit management and complex administration. In response, a new business unit specialised in business support was established.
Over the years, marketing took on an increasingly strategic role, both internally and externally. A fourth business unit, focusing on marketing and communication, was created.
Our various business units merged into one robust brand. This bundled strength led to our firm being prominently featured on the front pages of leading media outlets.
United Consulting is planning a new headquarters that merges innovation, sustainability, and inclusion. This striking building, made entirely of wood, glass, and solar panels, will be a true landmark, strategically located in Puurs-Sint-Amands. Its thoughtful design, with a gentle slope around a stunning atrium, encourages interaction and movement.
On 18 March 2026, United Consulting was named Supergazelle. The award is based entirely on hard figures and recognises a quarter century of sustainable growth. Founder & CEO Johan Van Damme wrote an open letter to all clients, employees and alumni to thank them.
